MANDATORY SAFETY & EMPLOYER GUIDELINES• Not a Replacement for Fall Protection: The TKC ToeKnee Crawler Extreme does not replace standard fall protection. Employers must continue to enforce their own established fall protection policies. • Experience Requirement: It is highly recommended that new users of the TKC Extreme have at least 100 hours of previous experience working in unfloored attics prior to use. • Company-Specific Training: Companies issuing the TKC Extreme to employees should review all safety concerns prior to deployment and compile tailored safety guidelines specific to their individual attic activities. • Know Your Limitations: The TKC Extreme may not be suitable for all areas of every attic, or for all workers. Learn the structural limitations of the device and integrate them into your official safety policies.

PRE-WORK SETUP & LADDER CAUTIONS• Ladder Safety: Because the TKC Extreme elevates the instep of the foot by approximately 3 inches, employees must climb ladders with extreme caution, utilizing both hands at all times. • Tool Staging: To maintain a safe three-point contact on ladders, it is highly recommended to stage your needed tools and supplies at the attic entrance before climbing up with the crawlers attached.

NAVIGATING THE ATTIC (BRIDGING & JOIST MOVEMENT)• Controlled Movements: Always proceed slowly and steadily. Never become overconfident. Use your hands to maintain balance until the crawlers are stable and you are in a secure position. • Proper Bridging: The extended platform is designed to safely cross and bridge standard 16-inch on-center joists. Ensure the crawlers are planted at least 1 inch onto the front joist. Users can use their feet as a physical gauge to stop forward progress by feeling for the back joists. • Reducing Fall Risks: While the TKC Extreme provides an extended, wider platform to safely land on joists and significantly reduces the likelihood of slipping, it does not completely eliminate the risk of a user falling through a ceiling. Always proceed with extreme caution. • Positional Awareness: Keep an eye out for loose cables or wiring to avoid getting hung up while moving. Change resting positions periodically to avoid remaining stagnant in one position for extended periods.

NAVIGATING PARALLEL JOISTS (ADVANCED TECHNIQUES) Moving forward on parallel joists is one of the most vulnerable maneuvers in an attic due to the narrow 2-inch width of the joists. It is not recommended without proper technique and training. • Side-Stepping (Recommended): The most favorable option is to sidestep or side-crawl, alternating between two parallel joists to safely reach your desired location. • Using the Centering Cavity: There is a 5-inch long cavity on the bottom base of the crawler at the knee area that allows a user to perfectly center up on a parallel joist. This is intended for light-duty positioning or exploration only. It is not recommended for intense activities. Always use your hands for balance when in this position.

PRODUCT CARE, MAINTENANCE & STORAGE• Flammability Warning: The main body and base of the TKC Extreme are constructed from industry-standard Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE), which is a flammable material. Please refer to data sheets for additional information, and never leave the device in direct sunlight. • Cleaning the Foam: Start with a dry method (vacuuming or brushing). For general dirt, use mild soap and water with a soft cloth. Never use harsh chemicals, abrasives, scrubbing tools, or heavy saturation, as this can degrade the structural integrity. Ensure the foam is completely air-dried before the next use. • Disinfection: If disinfection is required, use diluted hydrogen peroxide, followed immediately by mild soap and water. Rinse lightly and air dry completely. • Strap Maintenance: Wash the replaceable neoprene Velcro straps at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Do not use strong alkaline soaps. Air dry only. Never put the straps in a dryer or leave them in direct, burning sunlight. Place them in a well-ventilated area until completely dry. • Damage Protocol: Stop using the TKC Extreme immediately if the patent-pending lightweight structural rods become exposed or damaged. If you experience persistent physical discomfort during use, stop immediately and report it to your safety supervisor. • Storage: When not in active use, remove the crawlers and store them inside their designated duffel bag for safe transportation and storage.

The TKC ToeKnee Crawler Extreme is engineered specifically for navigating unfloored or floored residential attics. It is structurally designed to give tradesmen a secure, mobile platform when moving across ceiling joists.

No. We engineered the TKC ToeKnee Crawler Extreme with an Extended Safe-Landing Base that protrudes up to 2 inches past the kneecap. This provides a secure, flat landing area and significantly reduces the need for perfect perpendicular alignment when you are shifting your weight.

A standard kneeling pad requires you to land both your knees and your feet directly and simultaneously onto narrow joists and forces pressure on your feet and increase fatigue. The TKC Extreme reduces this by utilizing a rigid, flat base that extends down the entire lower leg. It features a specialized boot cut that wraps around and rests on top of the foot. This full-leg design not only relieves the intense pressure of crouching, but the boot cut significantly reduces the device from shifting and slipping while you move, providing a highly stable and comfortable platform.

The TKC Extreme features adjustable strapping designed to secure a calf range measurement of 12 inches to 20 inches.

Although the TKC Extreme is one size, there is a recommended maximum height, which is 23 in from the floor to the top of the kneecaps while in a sitting position and with boots on.

Absolutely not. The standard ToeKnee Crawler carries a strict "NOT FOR ATTIC USE" restriction. Only the TKC ToeKnee Crawler Extreme is structurally rated and heavily engineered for bridging 16-inch open joists.
